Tom was educated in Computer Studies at Manchester Metropolitan University,
and has been involved in all aspects of the computer industry for the last
20 years.
Tom has established several successful businesses, including being involved
in the early stages of S & S International, the publishers of Dr Solomon's
Anti Virus software. He has worked at Seiko-Epson and has been a consultant
to many companies and government bodies. In this role he has designed and
developed systems from distributed cash flow forecasting to housing
maintenance systems. The foreign exchange management system he developed is
described in detail in "Effective Management of Foreign Exchange" published
by McGraw-Hill.
Tom has been involved in all aspects of Intranet and Internet software
design and development. This has included integrating web-based solutions
with traditional client-server systems, and applying artificial intelligence
to information organisation, personalisation and distribution.
